The Artist

Raised on farms, Lucy’s lifetime love of horses and the mountains she has known since an early childhood will never leave her and this passion is portrayed through her paintings. The romance of the mountains and what Lucy sees through her eyes whilst riding in the high country amongst the wild horses, inspires her imagination to create these visions on canvas.

The unique feature of Lucy’s works, is that she is totally self taught. She will simply pick up a knife and commence painting, with no sketching, or layout preparation. Lucy’s artwork has become so popular, both within Australia and overseas. Not only do her works give much pleasure to many, they are also an ideal investment. It is encouraging to know that such a love remains for the Australian Bushman and the Man from Snowy River High Country.
